Consultation has concluded
Derry City and Strabane District Council
Consultation on the Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) of the new Draft Equality and Disability Duties Action Plans and Audit of Inequalities
Derry City and Strabane District Council is seeking the views of the public on its Equality Impact Assessment of the new Draft Equality Action 2024-2026 and new Draft Disability Duties Action Plan 2024-2026. We would also like feedback on the Audit of Inequalities which informed the draft plans. In particular, we are keen to receive evidence of other inequalities and/or impacts that have not already been identified so that we can take account of these.
In line with our Equality Scheme commitments, we have carried out an equality screening on both draft plans and have also produced an Equality Impact Assessment report. All these documents are available to read by clicking the button marked 'Consultation Documents'.
Alternatively, you can email equality@derrystrabane.com with your comments/feedback or contact the Council by telephone on 028 71 253 253 Ext 6705.
The consultation will run from 17 June until 9 September 2024.
Consultation information is available on request in a range of formats and minority languages. Please contact us to discuss your requirements on 028 71 253 253 or e-mail equality@derrystrabane.com
We will also facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to discuss our plans – if this is something that would be of interest to you, please contact equality@derrystrabane.com. Your feedback would be very much appreciated.
We hope you will be interested in responding and please feel free to share the consultation details with anyone else you think may be interested.
