Have your say on Council’s regeneration vision for Newtownstewart Town Centre. We’re keen to hear your views on our recommendations contained within the draft Regeneration Framework relating to Streetscape, Heritage, Access & Parking, Connectivity, Business Development, Tourism, Community Safety and Security.

The actions have been devised following engagement with key stakeholders and will help deliver positive change and improve issues affecting the town centre.

The draft Regeneration Framework highlights the key challenges facing Newtownstewart town centre and recommend deliverable actions going forward which will contribute to its economic, social and environmental well-being over the next 5-10 years.

The recommended actions within this document are in line with Council’s Inclusive Strategic Growth Plan 2017-2032 and associated Local Community Plan, as well as aligning with; Council’s Heritage Plan – A Vision For Our Future 2022-2027; Tourism 2018-2025 – A New Level of Ambition; Arts & Culture Strategy 2019-2024; Climate Change Adaptation Plan 2020-2025 and Green Infrastructure Plan 2019-2032.
